iPhone app

What you’re quitting deserves to be counted.

A counter, a streak, and the pride that comes with it. Depuis makes visible an effort nobody sees — and turns a slip into data, not failure.

What is Depuis?

Depuis is a French iPhone app that tracks quitting a habit — smoking, vaping, alcohol, sugar, screens, cannabis, sports betting or coffee — all in one app. It shows the time elapsed since you quit, a streak of days held, milestones that unlock with sourced health facts, the money saved, and an SOS button that brings back your personal reason and guides a one-minute breathing exercise when a craving hits. Core use is free and requires no sign-up.

Quitting is invisible work.

On day one, everyone congratulates you. By day three, nobody mentions it. And that is exactly when it matters: when nothing shows how far you have come, there is nothing left to lose by slipping. Depuis exists to keep that distance in front of you.

What the app does

01

The counter

Time elapsed since you quit, live and large. Hour by hour on day one, because that is how day one is actually lived.

02

The streak

One button a day: “I held.” The streak jumps instantly. And if you forget to open the app, you can catch up on yesterday — an oversight is not punished like a relapse.

03

Milestones

24 hours, 72 hours, one month, one year. Each milestone shows a concrete, sourced fact about what changes — never text invented to look good.

04

Money back

What it used to cost you, turned into what you have saved. Shown in things you can picture, not abstract decimals.

05

Craving SOS

A button that is always there: your personal reason reappears, a one-minute breathing exercise starts, the craving is logged. Free and unlimited, forever.

06

Slipping, without guilt

You declare that you slipped: the attempt is archived with its record, a new one starts. No lecturing screen, no erased history.

What Depuis does not do

  • Depuis blocks no apps. For quitting screens, it measures and rewards — it locks nothing. That is a deliberate choice.
  • Depuis is not a health professional. It diagnoses nothing and replaces neither a doctor nor an addiction specialist.
  • Depuis uses no artificial intelligence. Milestone texts are written in advance and sourced.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account to use Depuis?
No. The app opens and works straight away, with no sign-up and no password. You can add an email later, only if you want your progress back on another iPhone.
Can Depuis track several quits at once?
Yes. The free version tracks one quit; Premium tracks as many as you want in parallel, each with its own counter, streak and savings.
What happens if I forget to check in?
The main counter does not move: it is calculated from your quit date, not from your check-ins. Only a declared relapse resets it. The check-in streak can be caught up for yesterday — but no further back.
Does Depuis block apps or websites?
No, and it never will be promised. For quitting screens, Depuis counts screen-free time and rewards consistency, but locks no application.
What happens to my history if I relapse?
Nothing is erased. The current attempt is archived with its record of consecutive days, and a new one starts. You keep the trace of everything you have already held.
How much does Depuis cost?
Core use is free for life, including unlimited craving SOS. Premium is offered as a monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase, with a 7-day free trial on the yearly plan.
Is my data private?
Your data is stored on European servers and protected so that only your account can reach it. You can delete your account and erase everything permanently in two taps from the app settings.
